1839; came to Iowa in 1865; married Miss L. Robb, in 1864; she was born in
Warren Co., Ills., in 1842; they have three children: Ettie F., A. R., and S.

still living. Ambrose H. was listed as
a “farmer & stock raiser”, as was his son, Ambrose R. Letitia E. was noted as “at school”, and
Etta F. was listed as a “missionary for Baptist church in The following obituary notice for Mrs. Letitia (Robb) Edgerton was printed in the San Diego Union on January 15, 1910: “EDGERTON – In this city, January 13, 1910, Letitia R. Edgerton, wife of Ambrose H. Edgerton and mother of Mrs. E. H. Merwin of this city, Mrs Bruce Colton of Berkeley Cal., Miss Etta F., Miss Letitia and A. R. Edgerton of La Junta Col.; a native of Illinois, aged 67 years, 10 months. Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral
services to be held at Bradley & Woolman’s chapel today at 10 o’clock
a.m. Rev. W.B. Hinson will officiate.
