Andrew Chapin Edgerton and his wife, Anna, were recorded together in the 1860 Federal Census of Lenox, Madison County, New York (dwelling #623; family #615; enum. July 6, 1860). They were residing in the same dwelling as Sanford and Sarah B. Carr and were enumerated as follows:

A. C. Edgerton	23	b. NY	carpenter
Anna	25	b. NY

Andrew Chapin Edgerton died on July 29, 1863, aged 27 years. The following obituary was published in the Geneva Gazette on Friday, August 7, 1863:

“In Geneva, on Wednesday, July 29th, Andrew Chapin Edgerton, in the 27th year of his age.”

Andrew was buried in the family plot at Rock Stream Cemetery. His widow, Anna Maria, was later remarried to John W. Hegeman.
