Mrs. Mary Ann (Olcott) Edgerton died at Syracuse, New York on October 9, 1889.  A copy of her death certificate was filed with the New York State Department of Health (year 1889, certificate #36180).  The following funeral notice was published in the Fayetteville Weekly Recorder on Thursday, October 17, 1889:

 

“BEREAVEMENTS…  The funeral of Mrs. Mary Edgerton of Syracuse was held at the Methodist church last Friday at 1 P.M.  Burial was made in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.”
