According to the above enumeration, Everett and Iola were aged 23 and 28 respectively at the time of their first marriages.  Their occupations were each listed as “teacher – public school”.

 

Everett Eugene Edgerton also resided for a time in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, where he and his first wife, Isabelle, were buried and where their youngest son, Charles Harold, resided for most of his life.  The four sons of Everett E. Edgerton (aka. “E. E. Edgerton”) resided in California, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.  Seward Everett was a business man and resided in Los Angeles, California; he was married to Eva Bailey and had two children:  a daughter, Vernice Isabella and a son, Bailey E.  Jedediah Howard was a college president and resided in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Lexington, Massachusetts; he was married to Lillian Edith Seitz and had two children:  a son, Howard H. and a daughter, Ruth L.  Ambrose Earl was a medical doctor and eye surgeon; he resided in San Francisco, California; he was married to Alice Cameron and had one daughter, Faith.  Charles Harold lived in Bartlesville, Oklahoma; he was married to Isabell Saint and had three children:  a daughter, Catherine Louise (aka. “Kay”), and twin sons, John Harold and Charles Robert.  We are indebted to John Harold Edgerton and his son James Saint Edgerton, who have provided most of the information included here regarding the four sons of Everett Eugene Edgerton.
