According to the above census record, Rosa was the mother of one child.  James occupation was listed as “agt towboats”, and Henry was noted as “at school”.  The family was residing on Ridgewood Avenue.

 

The following obituary notice for James Oliver Edgerton was published in The Brooklyn Daily Eagle on Wednesday, January 19, 1916:

 

“EGERTON – On January 18, at his residence, Ridgewood, N.J., JAMES OLIVER EGERTON, in the 68th year of his age, formerly of Brooklyn.  Services Thursday evening, January 20, at 8 o’clock.  Train leaves Chambers at 6:35 p.m.”
