Mrs. Edgerton was born in Madison, Madison county, a daughter of Bartholomew and Harriet Jennings Ellison.  Her parents were among the pioneer settlers in that section, coming to this country from England.

Throughout her life, Mrs. Edgerton was active in W.C.T.U. affairs and was one of the first women to cast a ballot at the first option election in this city last [----].  Mrs. Edgerton had at various times lived in the towns of Nelson and Georgetown, Madison county, but during the past few years made her home at No. 765 Madison street, this city.

Surviving are four sons, Ernest L., of this city, G. Franklin, of Cleveland, O., Charles W., of Mohawk, and Arthur A. Edgerton, of Frankfurt; one brother, C. W. Ellison, of Manlius.

The funeral will be held on Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the undertaking rooms of W. A. Drinkman.  Interment will be at Erieville.”
