File,
a place to put more detailed information and analysis
as well as scans of some material. WorldConnect is a
service of RootsWeb that allows the posting of family
files which will stay posted presumably as long as RootsWeb
survives.
My Family
File
contains information about every known descendant, although
most details of living people are omitted. The data
there is always the most current version of research.
In addition to the typical list of names and dates,
a great deal of source material has been transcribed
into the notes on individuals themselves. You can use
WorldConnect to figure out how you connect into the
family and find out far more about thousands of relatives.
Because of space limitations on this Web site that hopefully will become
less of an issue over time, I have had to be judicious in the use of graphics
and scans; many more documents and photos have been scanned or found in
electronic versions, and references to many such items are found in the
database and on this site.
In addition, as a longtime researcher, I still have
a large number of paper records that have not yet been
scanned or recorded as proper sources into the database.
