Jonathan Walker, the son of Edward and Mahala (Tussey)
Walker, replies back to the Pension Office after receiving
the Bible belonging to his grandparents. A stamp on
it indicates that the Department of the Interior received
it on 23 July 1887. Oddly, in his own pension application,
this Jonathan spells his name Johnathan; the ties are
quite strong as to identification, but this difference
remains curious.
