We learned that a young man named Wm S Wilson met with an accident on Monday last on the farm of Mr S Evilsizer one and a half miles west of Millville, which caused his death almost immediately. Mr Evilsizer and the unfortunate young man were tearing down an old house. Mr E being on the roof and the young man on the ground below. Mr E got a log ready to roll off the top of the house and called to the young man to get out of the way. The young man told him to go ahead as he could keep clear of the log, but it appears he did not, as it struck him on the back of the neck breaking it and crushing in the base of the skull. It is a very unfortunate affair, but as far as we can learn, no blame can be attached to Mr Evilsizer as he gave warning to the young man in time for him to get out of the way. (Richmond Democrat)
