Tremont News
James H Lock, who resided at Stockton Minn, died , according to a telegram received by Mrs Mary Xanders last Sat; the funeral and interment was held at Stockton last Tuesday. Many of our oldest settlers here will remember him as he was bound to James M jones, when he was about 15 years old, living with Mr Jones until he was 21. Going west, he located at the place and lived in the vicinity until his death. We do not know his exact age, but it was near 76. Mr Lock was an uncle of the Samuel Bare heirs, also to be Mrs Serepta Boosinger and Miss Emma Hessel, their mother being a sister of the deceased. It is said that Mr Lock gathered together quite a large fortune, which will be divided among these heirs, as he never married, they all being his next of kin.
