EDWARD SANFORD HALSEY

Edward and Mary Jane are buried in the Fowler Cemetery, Eaton Rapids, Michigan.

In their early married life, the family went to Ozark, Missouri with wagon and team to found a home. After the Civil War, they, being Northerners, were harassed by the bushwackers.

In the middle of the night, Mary Jane left Missouri with the younger children and all their possessions they could pile on their wagon to return to Michigan.

Edward and his oldest son followed a few days later, found the family and reached Michigan safely.
