HOLDEN, 63, DIES IN CITY

Erwin C. Holden,
63, lifelong resident of this section, died at 11 this morning at the home
of his sister, Mrs. Charles A. (Anna) Westcott, 842 State Street. He had
been in ill health most of his life. Death was caused by an asthmatic
condition.
Mr. Holden was born
at Chestnut Ridge in the town of Hounsfield, on March 5, 1875, a son of
the late Clay and Eliza Stokes Holden. He divided his time between his two
sisters, Mrs. Westcott, at whose home he died, and Mrs. Marion Holden,
Chestnut Ridge. He came to Watertown to reside with Mrs. Westcott about
two months ago.
Surviving him
besides the two sisters are one niece, Mrs. Jessie Outwater, Chestnut
Ridge, and several nephews.
Funeral services
will be held from the home of Mrs. Westcott at 2 Friday afternoon with
Rev. Elbert H. Conrad, pastor of the Fundamental Gospel Tabernacle,
officiating. Burial will be made in the Sackets Harbor cemetery.
