Site Rules
| a) |
My policy is to never include key data for living people. Therefore, unless I have a death date, I've followed a rule of not including anyone born after 1900 in my family trees database. If I have inadvertantly done so, please let me know.
| b) |
I respect other people's work, and give credit where credit is due. In my family trees database, credit is given in the notes for most people in my database. I have attempted to obtain permission from everyone who sent me the data directly. If the data was noncopywritten and already on the internet, I usually just gave the URL and name of the person submitting and didn't always ask permission.
| c) |
Each time another researcher's email address appears in the notes for people in my family trees database, I have obtained permission to post that address. The exception would be where the information and email address already appeared on another website, in which case I noted the owner and location of the original data.
| d) |
Because this site is hosted on the Rootsweb's Freepages server, Rootsweb has posted a banner on the top of every page. Rootsweb determines the content of those banners, but since it is a family friendly organization, the content of the banner should never be objectionable. |
