Adeline Herrick was born in Wethersfield, Vermont, on January 4, 1840. She married Granville Knight about 1862. He was born in Limerick, Maine, in 1836, and died in May 1900 (just before the census was taken) in Malden, Massachusetts.
Adeline continued to live in Massachusetts with her sons Herbert and Frank for some time, later moving with Frank and living with his growing family in White Plains, New York, where they are to be found in 1920. She is absent from the 1930 census.
