Charlotte was born about 1820 or 1822; her date of birth is not certain. The marriage intentions for Charlotte and Lewis Reed Foster were posted March 10, 1837, in Warren; and they were married April 12, 1837, in Spencer. She died some time after the birth of her daughter Charlotte Ann in 1842 and before 1846, for on October 21, 1846, Lewis Foster married a second time, a cousin, Julia G. Foster, who was born June, 1825. On the marriage document, Lewis is listed as a widower, Julia as single. Julia and Lewis had at least 11 children.
