Personally came before me this 19th day of June
1819--Nicholas Coombs and being duly Sworn saith
that he is personally acqquainted with John Fay the
within applicant and says that he is in reduced cir-
cumstances and stands in need of assistance & further saith not.

I hereby certify that I am acquainted with the above deponent
and believe him to be a credible person and feel credit may be

James Fay & Elijah Smith being duly sworn saith that the
said John Fay the within applicant is In very reduced
circumstances and has been ever since their acquaintance
with him which has been for a number of years
and further saith not James Fay
