Caroline died in 1867, and Rollin was remarried by 1870, this time to Lizzie L.--probably Elizabeth Lydia. He may have been a musician to begin with, but he did many different things over time, including running a large boarding house [1880]. He appears with Caroline and Ada in the census of 1860, and then with Ada and Olin and his new wife and child in 1870. Olin's marriage is recorded in the Vital Records of Massachusetts, where he is called the son of Rollin and Elizabeth-- a mistake, as I believe. Lawrence appears in the census of 1900, in 1910, with Chloe, who is a widow; and in 1930 with his wife Christine. He is probably the Lawrence mentioned in the social security death list as born on May 2, 1897, and died November 1981. |
It was possible to track Ada Carrie, since Orlin gives her married name. She married Dennis G. Warren about 1876, and had three children with him.
