Wounded in left upper thigh by grapeshot at battle of Franklin on November 30, 1864 and captured in Franklin Field Hospital on December 17, 1864. Admitted to U.S.A. Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee on December 23, 1864 and upon recovery sent to Camp chase on January 9, 1865.
