James Wilson White (letter)	Captain	Enlisted September 13, 1861 as 2nd Lt. and promoted to Captain March 20, 1862. Wounded at Chancellorsville May 3, 1863. Present at Andersonville and given 30 day furlough to see family on July 1, 1864. Led Regiment during Atlanta Campaign upon return . Wounded at Franklin but was able to get out of Tennessee before retreat. Applied for pension in Fernbank, Lamar County, Alabama on February 24, 1897 at 69 years old. Died before 1907 Census.
Henry W. Mathews	1st Lt.	Enlisted September 13, 1861 as 1st Lt.
Miles Izates Taylor	1st Lt.	Born in Walker County, Alabama on September 21, 1835. He was a lawyer in Winston County, Alabama at the outbreak of the war. Enlisted October 3, 1861 as 3rd Lt. Promoted to 1st Lt. on March 20, 1862. Commanded 26th Alabama Regiment, through attrition, by the end of the day at Chancellorsville on May 3, 1863. Wounded in foot (heel) and captured at Gettysburg on July 1, 1863. Admitted to West Walnut Street Hospital in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Turned over to Provost Marshall on October 28, 1863 and sent to Fort Delaware. Received at Johnson Island on November 25. Transferred to Point Lookout on March 21, 1865. Sent from Point Lookout to Fort Delaware on March 28 for exchange. Signed oath and released on June 12, 1865 with his residence listed as Marion County. His younger brother Eli C. Taylor had been killed in action around Bowling Green, KY. Moved to Forney, Kaufman County, Texas in 1873 and married Laura Alice Hindman, the daughter of a Cherokee Indian. Applied for pension on August 31, 1909 at age 74. He died August 15, 1912 and was buried in Kaufman City Cemetery.
John F. Mathews	2nd Lt.	Enlisted and appointed 3rd Lt. Promoted to 2nd Lt. on March 20, 1862 and died May 18, 1862. Buried at Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia on May 20 in Section J, Grave #119.
John T. Anthony	2nd Lt.	Born October 22, 1837 and enlisted as 2nd Sgt. September 13, 1861. Promoted to 2nd Lt. March 22, 1862. Wounded in arm at Seven Pines on May 31, 1862 and admitted to Banner Hospital. His right arm was amputated. Resigned January 29, 1864. Became a school teacher after the war and applied for relief as maimed October 27, 1879 in Lamar County, Alabama. He later applied for pension in Itawamba County, Mississippi in 1900 and resided for a time in the Beauvior Old Soldiers Home in Biloxi, Mississippi. Died October 20, 1909 in Itawamba County, Mississippi and is buried in Union Grove Cemetery, Tilden, Mississippi.
Newton W. Brown	2nd Lt.	Enlisted September 13, 1861 as 4th Sgt. Promoted 2nd Lt. May 10, 1863. Present at Andersonville and appointed acting adjutant on June 9, 1864.
W. Henry Hughes	1st Sgt.	Enlisted October 3, 1861 and present at Andersonville as 1st Sgt. Surrendered and paroled at Columbus, Mississippi on May 19, 1865.
Abraham Lollar	1st Sgt.	Enlisted September 13, 1861 as 1st Sgt.
Huel L. Hughes	2nd Sgt.	Born July 22, 1838 in Marion County, Alabama and enlisted October 3, 1861 as private. Promoted to 5th Sgt. April, 1862 and wounded at Malvern Hill at age 24 on July 1, 1862 with wound to right side of chest. Given furlough to Columbus, Mississippi on August 24, 1862. Promoted to 2nd Sgt. and wounded in action at Gettysburg July 1, 1863 while leading about 20 men attacking breastworks in which only he and three other men returned. Furloughed on September 13, 1863 to Columbus, Mississippi. On wounded leave in April, 1864 as 2nd Sgt. I would suspect he was maimed as he was detailed with Co. C of the 2nd Battalion stationed at Camp Wright in Macon, Georgia late 1864 and captured at Macon on April 20, 1865. Resided in the Insane Hospital in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama in 1907 Census.
William Jno. Martin	3rd Sgt.	Born July 20, 1824 in Lawrence County, Alabama. Father of Pvt. George Franklin Martin. Enlisted October 13, 1861 as private and present at Andersonville as 3rd Sgt. Captured at Nashville on December 16, 1864 but later escaped. Given 30 day furlough on February 4, 1865 so was on furlough when the Regiment deployed to North Carolina. Lived in Marion County, Alabama after the war but never filed for pension. Died December 20, 1895 in Alabama.
John E. Spradlin, Sr.	4th Sgt.	Enlisted October 3, 1861. Captured at Chancellorsville May 3, 1863, paroled on May 4 and exchanged on May 10. Present at Andersonville as 4th Sgt.
W. Jay Mathews	5th Sgt.	Enlisted September 13, 1861. Died in service September 1, 1862. Deceased claim filed by his father Walter Mathews.
Edwin Gibson Turman	5th Sgt.	Enlisted September 13, 1861 as 1st Corporal. Died on pneumonia in 3rd Alabama Hospital on May 20, 1863. Buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Richmond, Virginia Grave #2, row 32, Division D
William Wilson Purnell	Sgt.	Born February 3, 1833 in Marion County, Alabama and enlisted September 13, 1861 as private. Commissioned Hospital Steward and promoted to Sgt. on November 2, 1863. Captured at Franklin as he stayed behind in charge of the wounded on December 16, 1864. Sent to Camp Chase, Ohio where he served as Ward Master. He was paroled on June 13, 1865 at age 32 and sent home to Marion County. Resided in Crews Depot, Alabama after the war and filed for pension in Lamar County, Alabama. In a letter to ADAH he states that he had the hospital journal from Tuscumbia. Where is this journal!!!
William D. Terrell	Sgt.	Enlisted October 13, 1861. Died at Malvern Hill on July 1, 1862. Deceased claim filed by his father Marion County Judge John D. Terrell. Buried Oakwood Cemetery in Richmond on July 1.
Andrew Jackson Watkins	1st Cpl.	Enlisted October 3, 1861 as 4th Corporal and present at Andersonville as 1st Corporal. His widow Gillie Caroline applied for pension in Oktibbeha County, Mississippi in 1924.
James B. Franks	2nd Cpl.	Enlisted February 3, 1862 as private. Given 30 day furlough home to Marion County on March 12, 1863 as 2nd Cpl. Captured at Chancellorsville on May 3, 1863, paroled May 4, and exchanged May 10, 1863. Present at Andersonville.
George Andrew White	2nd Cpl.	Born July 11, 1842 and worked in the family store. Enlisted September 13, 1861 as 2nd Cpl. Died in 2nd Alabama Hospital of diarrhea on May 9, 1863. Deceased claim filed by his mother Jane White on August 11, 1863.
Clint Underwood	3rd Cpl.	Enlisted September 13, 1861 as 3rd Corporal and mention in orders November, 1862 to go back to Marion County to recruit.
Henry Wilson Miller	Corporal	Born September 4th, 1846 in Beaverton, Alabama and enlisted February 6, 1862. Wounded at South Mountain September 14, 1862 and captured. Sent to U. S. Army Hospital on Camden St. in Baltimore, Maryland. Sent to Fort McHenry for exchange and then exchanged May, 1863 and furloughed home unable to serve. While laying wounded a federal soldier said "Hug a Yankee" and he carried him under shelter of hill and after giving him water from his canteen, he bade him a kindly "good-bye". Listed on rolls at Andersonville as dropped from rolls due to absent without leave and only as private. After war resided in Millport, Lamar County, Alabama.

John W. Reynolds	3rd Cpl.	Enlisted October 3, 1861 as private. Present at Andersonville as 3rd Cpl.
Wm. C. Hill, Jr.	4th Cpl.	Enlisted as private on October 3, 1861. Promoted from ranks on January 2, 1862. Died in Chimbarazo Hospital of typhoid on July 19, 1862 and was buried at Oakwood Cemetery on July 21, 1862. Deceased claim filed by his widow Lydia M. Hill on April 4, 1863.
W. L. Sanders	Corporal	Enlisted September 13, 1861. Wounded at Malvern Hill on July 1, 1862 and admitted to Howards Grove on July 6. Given 30 day furlough on July 10. Promoted to Corporal upon return. Admitted to 3rd Alabama Hospital on December 15, 1862 due to variola (small pox) and transferred to Howards Grove where he died on January 23, 1863.
J. M. Williams	Corporal	Enlisted July 13, 1861 and dropped from rolls due to prolonged absence without leave by April, 1864. His widow M. E. Williams applied for pension in Tate County, Mississippi in 1916.
Thomas J. Hodges	Musician	Captured at Jonesburo, Georgia on September 1, 1864 and sent to Camp Douglas on October 29, 1864.

Jon. Osburn Auditon	Pvt.	Born in Marion County, Alabama and enlisted September 13, 1861. Wounded by bomb shell in foot and back at Gaines Mill on June 28, 1862. Admitted to Chimbarazo on June 30 and died on July 8 at age 22. Buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Richmond, Virginia on July 17, 1862. Deceased claim filed by widow Mary with 2 children.
James Armstrong	Pvt.	Enlisted September 13, 1861. Killed in action in the Seven Days campaign according to letter from John W. Stanford to his wife Jane.
John T. Armstrong	Pvt.	Enlisted September 13, 1861. Wounded at Seven Pines May 31, 1862 and discharged from service. Applied for relief as maimed in Lamar County, Alabama on October 27, 1879.
Thomas Backus	Pvt.	Enlisted February 10, 1864 and present at Andersonville. Captured at Nashville on December 15, 1864 and sent to Camp Douglas on December 20. Paroled May 12, 1865 and listed his residence as Mobile, Alabama.
W. H. Bagwell	Pvt.	Wounded in action at Chancellorsville on May 2-3, 1863. Eventually died and is buried in Hollywood Cemetery on May 12, 1863 in Section T, Grave # 103.
Wm. H. "Coon" Ball	Pvt.	Enlisted October 3, 1861. Wounded in action at Chancellorsville May 2, 1863 and admitted to Camp Winder Hospital. Dropped from the rolls in April, 1864 for prolonged absence without leave. Applied for relief as maimed from Franklin County, Alabama.
James H. Ball	Pvt.	Enlisted May 24, 1862 and present at Andersonville. Deserted May 20, 1864 and signed oath on February 3, 1865. Listed his residence as Pikeville, Marion County, Alabama. Applied for pension after the war in Williamson County, Tennessee
D. A. Been	Pvt.	Deserted May 6, 1862.
John B. Berryhill	Pvt.	Enlisted on January 4, 1862. Wounded in arm at Malvern Hill on July 1, 1862 and admitted to Chimbarazo. Given 30 day furlough on July 18, 1862. Returned and present at Andersonville. Survived war as he resided in Confederate Soldiers Home in Mountain Creek, Alabama in 1915 and they asked the Archives for confirmation. He died Mid-June 1918 in Tupelo, Mississippi and was laid to rest at Gilvoe Cemetery on June 17.

Berry Middleton "Mid" Cantrell	Pvt.	Born December 7, 1839 in Marion County, Alabama and enlisted February 20, 1862. Sick in Camp Winder Hospital October, 1862 and returned to duty on December 16. Deserted July 23, 1863 turned himself in and released with promise to stay North of Ohio River for duration of war.Resided in Marion County, Alabama in 1907 Census.
David R. Cantrell	Pvt.	Enlisted February 25, 1862. Admitted to Chimbarazo on April 2, 1863 for gunshot wound. Detailed as Nurse until Regiment was detached to Andersonville in which he was present. Admitted to St. Mary's Hospital in LaGrange, Georgia on July 4 and released on July 7. Deserted August 22, 1864 and turned himself in with his brother. Released on oath to stay north of Ohio River.
Isaac S. Cantrell	Pvt.	Died in Richmond, Virginia of disease on April 12, 1862 and was buried the same day in Oakwood Cemetery, Richmond in Grave #100, Row G, Division A.
Francis M. Clark	Pvt.	Born December 3, 1844 in Marion County and enlisted March 1, 1863. Present at Andersonville. Paroled 1865.
R. L. Clark	Pvt.	Enlisted April 6, 1863. Wounded in action at Chancellorsville May 2-3, 1863 and recovered. Present at Andersonville.
William F. Clark	Pvt.	Born in Marion County, Alabama on February 3, 1845 and enlisted May 1, 1862. Admitted to 2nd Alabama Hospital on April 20, 1863 for typhoid and furloughed home to Marion County, Alabama for 50 days on June 5, 1863. Present at Andersonville. Applied for pension in Hamilton, Lamar County, Alabama after war and still lived there in 1911. Gave deposition of service as Dr. W. F. Clark for George S. McKay's widow on November 5, 1914.

Madison Miles Frazier	Pvt.	Born November 18, 1838 in Salisbury, North Carolina and enlisted August 8, 1862. Reported missing at South Mountain on September 14, 1862 but was wounded and captured. Sent to Fort Delaware and declared exchanged at Aikens Landing, Virginia on November 10, 1862 but actually exchanged before that. Admitted to Camp Winder Hospital on October 15, 1862. Captured at Gettysburg on July 1, 1863 and held at Fort Delaware. Signed oath and released June 16, 1865 to his home in Marion County, Alabama. Attended reunion on August 8, 1900 at Guin, Alabama where he lived after the war. Died in Guin, Fayette County, Alabama on January 1, 1925 and is buried in the Guin City Cemetery.
Samuel Fretwell	Pvt.	Admitted to Camp Winder Hospital on June 7, 1862 due to Typhoid and then transferred to Huguenot Springs on July 27. Discharged from service on March 20, 1863.
W. H. Galamore	Pvt.	Enlisted October 3, 1861. On wounded furlough April 27, 1864 so he was wounded at either Gettysburg, Mine Run or Bristoe Station.
Thomas Gann	Pvt.	Enlisted September 13, 1861. Admitted to Chimbarazo on April 29, 1862 and discharged from service out of Lynchburg Hospital #2 on June 6, 1862 due to disease of lungs. He died June 24, 1883 and his widow Mary E. Gann applied for pension in Washington County, Arkansas in 1901.
George Gann	Pvt.	According to local county genealogist he was mustered in and present at surrender but this is not backed up by the Greensboro film I have.
John C. Gibbs	Pvt.	Born April 17, 1831 in Marion County, Alabama and enlisted May 12, 1862. Present at Andersonville. Captured March 25, 1865 near Russelville, Alabama and took oath and released same day. Resident of Goldmine, Marion County, Alabama in 1907 Census.
John W. Gibbs	Pvt.	Enlisted September 13, 1861. Died March 21, 1862 and buried next day in Richmond, Virginia. Deceased claim filed by his widow Nancy E. Gibbs leaving 2 children with John T. Meador Power of Attorney.
Timothy Gibbs	Pvt.	Enlisted September 13, 1861. Admitted to Chimbarazo Hospital in Richmond, Virginia on August 30, 1862 due to dysentery and died there on September 4, 1862.
David W. Gilbert	Pvt.	Enlisted September 13, 1861. Listed as deserted March, 1862 but died in Richmond, Virginia. Buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Grave #88, row O, Division A.

James A. "Duff" Halcombe	Pvt.	Enlisted February 13, 1862. Wounded at Malvern Hill on July 1, 1862 with ball lodged in right thigh. Wounded in action at Chancellorsville May 2, 1863 with 2 different gunshot wounds to left arm and right leg. Sent to Camp Winder Hospital. 30 day furlough on June 12, 1863 and present at Andersonville. Sick in Hospital when Regiment surrendered. Applied for pension from Kendrick, Tishomingo County, Mississippi on September 4, 1900 at age 59.
Rolland T. Holcombe	Pvt.	Enlisted October 3, 1861. Detailed as nurse at #13 Hospital in Richmond, Virginia on March 13, 1863 and returned to Regiment on December 19. Present at Andersonville. He applied for pension in Hemstead County, Arkansas in 1901.
William A. Hall	Pvt.	Born in Marion County, Alabama and enlisted December 7, 1861. Admitted to Chimbarazo Hospital on June 28, 1862 and discharged due to chronic diarrhea on July 24, 1862 at age 18. Re-enlisted to Cavalry upon recovery.
John A. Hall	Pvt.	Captured at Gettysburg July 1-3, 1863 and sent to Fort Delaware where arrived on July 6, 1863. Died there on March 16, 1864 of inflammation of lungs. Buried Finn's Point National Cemetery, Salem County, New Jersey.

Lafayette Herrington	Pvt.	Enlisted September 13, 1861. Died in Richmond, Virginia of disease on April 15, 1862 and buried in Oakwood Cemetery on April 15.
Icabod Caine Hill	Pvt.	Enlisted October 3, 1861. Admitted to Camp Winder Hospital on October 14, 1862 for rheumatism at age 22 and returned to duty on November 6, 1862. James A. Howard	Pvt.	Enlisted September 13, 1861. Wounded in action at Chancellorsville May 2-3, 1863 and returned. Wounded with gunshot wound to right leg and captured at Gettysburg on July 3, 1863. Sent to DeCamp General Hospital on Davids Island in New York Harbor. Exchanged and admitted to the General Hospital in Petersburg, Virginia on September 9, 1863. Furloughed 60 days upon release on September 16, 1863. Dropped from rolls due to prolonged absence by April of 1864.
M. Daniel Howell	Pvt.	Born in Marion County, Alabama. Wounded with compound fracture of thigh and captured at South Mountain on September 14, 1862. Admitted to General Hospital #4 on September 19, 1862 and transferred to #1 on January 15, 1863. Died of traumatic femoral aneurysm in Frederick, Maryland on March 15, 1863 at age 25. Buried in grave #192 at Hospital Cemetery in Frederick.
John Wesley Hughes	Pvt.	Born March 22, 1842 in Pikesville, Marion County, Alabama and enlisted originally in Company K of the 42nd Alabama in September, 1862. Transferred to the 26th Alabama on February 19, 1863. Present at Andersonville April, 1864. Wounded twice in action at Kennesaw Mountain June 27, 1864. Parolled at Decatur, Alabama in 1865. Lived in Guin, Marion County, Alabama after the war and provided deposition of service for John T. Flippo's application for pension in Texas on July 5, 1913. Still there in 1921 Confederate Census.
Thomas E. Hughes	Pvt.	Enlisted November 1, 1863 and present at Andersonville. Survived war.

Robert D. Logan	Pvt.	Enlisted January 13, 1862. Wounded with gunshot wound to left hand at Gettysburg. Admitted to Chimbarazo on July 15, 1863 and then transferred to Howards Grove Hospital. While in Howards Grove he was charged with inciting mutiny in hospital and was arrested 10/9/63 and sent to Richmond. Major General R. E. Rhodes requested a speedy trial. Regiment never heard from him again (April, 1864). Pensioned from Thornhill, Alabama.

John D. Lowe, Jr.	Pvt.	Born January 14, 1844 near Atlanta, Georgia and enlisted November 1, 1863. Present at Andersonville. Enlisted for illness to St. Mary's Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama in early November 1864 and missed the "invasion of Tennessee". He survived the war and was paroled in Pond Springs, Alabama in 1865. Resided in Russelville, Franklin County, Alabama in 1921 Census.

Gainam Scroggins Lyons	Pvt.	Born August 8, 1833 in Tennessee and family moved to Marion County in the 1840's. Enlisted September 13, 1861. Wounded at Malvern Hill on July 1, 1862 and admitted to #13 Hospital. Admitted to Hospital #13 on December 14, 1862 due to fever and returned to duty on December 24. P. O. Box listed at Eldridge, Walker County, Alabama. Present at Andersonville. Gainum and his family (14 kids) moved to Texas around 1893 to live with his son near Brandon. He died there on October 2, 1910.
Isaac T. Markham	Pvt.	Enlisted September 13, 1861. Died in Camp Winder Hospital of typhoid on September 4, 1862. Buried Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia on September 5 in Section A, Grave #29. Deceased claim filed by his father Abner Markham on October 31, 1864.
George Franklin Martin	Pvt.	Born November 6, 1844 in Marion County, Alabama and enlisted February 19, 1863. Wounded at Chancellorsville May 2, 1863 with gunshot wound near elbow joint. Given 30 day furlough to Ridgelow, Alabama out of 2nd Alabama Hospital on June 9, 1863. Present at Andersonville. Moved to Texas after the war and died January 24, 1913 in Hawley, Jones County, Texas.
George W. Mays	Pvt.	Enlisted February 18, 1862. Died of disease on April 18, 1862 in Banner Hospital in Richmond and buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Grave #3, Row H, Division A. Deceased claim filed by widow Sabrah Y. Mays.
Harley Tuttle McKay	Pvt.	Wounded by bombshell at South Mountain on September 14, 1862 and had leg amputated, sent home on furlough. Detached to Columbus, Mississippi as shoemaker, order #39 issued by General Lee on February 3, 1863. Still on rolls as detached duty of 26th Alabama April, 1864.
George S. McKay	Pvt.	5 feet 11 inches tall and nephew of Harley Tuttle McKay. Enlisted January 18, 1862. Wounded at Gaines Mill on June 27, 1862 and admitted to Chimbarazo for wounded ankle on June 30, 1862. Still on wounded furlough November, 1862. W. F. Clark states that he was on crutches around Marion County for a long time. Dropped from rolls due prolonged absence without leave on April 26, 1864 but did return. Listed as being present at surrender by local genealogists but according to his oath statement taken at Nashville, Tennessee on February 7, 1865, he deserted on July 4, 1864 and resided in Maury County, Tennessee. This oath and declaration was more than likely necessary as depositions given for his pension application state that he was wounded in the left hand on July 4, 1864 (in the action around Chattahootchie River) which amputated his forefinger and maimed the rest of his fingers on the left hand. He was taken care of by his mother's family in Franklin County, Tennessee which was at that time firmly in Yankee hands. Died August, 1900 and his widow, Minerva O'Rear McKay received pension until her death in 1928.

Upon release he was admitted to Hospital #9 on October 28 and then transferred to 2nd Alabama Hospital on the 29th. Given 60 day furlough on November 4, 1863 to Marion County, Alabama. He was detached to Invalid Corps in which he retired from September 8, 1864. Applied for relief as maimed October 27, 1879 in Lamar County, Alabama. Died April 27, 1884 in Lamar County and his widow Catherine filed for pension there.

Wounded in leg at Chancellorsville on May 3, 1863. Admitted to #2 Hospital in Richmond and had leg amputated. Died there on June 4, 1863 and buried in Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond on June 6. Buried Section S, Grave #330. General Order #131/3 issued October 3, 1863 for issuing a Medal of Honor to him for Chancellorsville.
James C. Stanford (letter)	Pvt.	Born in Marion County, Alabama and enlisted February 15, 1862. Admitted to Chimbarazo on May 10, 1862 and died on May 21, 1862 at age 37. "Died suddenly, went to mess room a few hours before death". Deceased claim filed on March 3, 1863. Buried in Oakwood Cemetery on May 22, 1862. Deceased claim filed by his widow Arrazina Stanford from Marion County, Alabama. Brother to John Washington Stanford. They had two brothers, William and Daniel, who fought for Company F, 42nd Alabama Infantry.

Present at Andersonville. Applied for pension in Lee County, Mississippi in 1915. Is buried in Priceville Cemetery, Lee County, Mississippi.
William H. Terrell (letter )	Pvt.	Enlisted January 8, 1862. Detailed as teamster 1862-63 but rejoined Regiment when Confederate Government transferred all wagons to Army. Present at Andersonville and survived the war. In one of his letters he states that he had a photo taken during the war, would love to have a copy of this photo!!!
Robert W. Terrell	Pvt.	Born in Marion County, Alabama in 1834 and enlisted December 8, 1861 at age 27. Was in and out of hospitals the majority of the time. Teamster with his brother early 1863 until the Regiment lost their wagons. Given medical furlough on August 18, 1863. According to Terrell letters he lived for a while farming in Tennessee after the war with his brother William.
Thomas Washington Terrell	Pvt.	Born April 23, 1846 in Shelby County, Alabama and enlisted March 20, 1864 (went to war with George S. McKay. Sick and never saw battle. On sick furlough at end of war. Resident of Pikeville, Marion County, Alabama in 1907 Census and Crews Depot in 1921 Census. Gave deposition of service for George S. McKay's widow Minerva on November 2, 1914.
William G. Thompson	Pvt.	Enlisted February 15, 1862. Wounded in abdomen and captured at Sharpsburg on September 17, 1862. Sent to Fort Monroe for exchange on October 17, 1862 and admitted immediately to Chimbarazo. Given 40 day furlough on November 17, 1862 and died in Huntsville, Alabama. Deceased claim filed by widow Mary E. Thompson on April 28, 1863 from Marion County, Alabama.
Henry Leverett Tucker	Pvt.	Born December 28, 1835 in Marion County, Alabama and enlisted October 3, 1861. 6 feet 1 inch tall. Wounded in abdomen and captured at South Mountain on September 14, 1862. Paroled on October 4 and exchanged on October 10, 1862 then admitted to Chimbarazo. Furloughed 40 days on November 12, 1862. Captured at Cashtown, Pennsylvania July 5, 1863 and sent to Fort Delaware. Released June 14, 1865 with residence as Marion County. Resident of Kansas, Walker County, Alabama in 1907 Census.

John J. Underwood	Pvt.	Enlisted September 13, 1861. Died on April 7, 1862 in Wynn's Mill, Virginia. This is a post around Yorktown. According to reports there was a lot of sniping so it's possible he died that way.

V. W. Van Hoozer	Pvt.	Enlisted September 13, 1861. Transferred to Farmville, Virginia Hospital from Chimbarazo. Died October 31, 1862 in Marion County, Alabama while on furlough of Icterus (jaundice). His widow Margaret Gentry applied for pension in Chickasaw County, Mississippi in 1916.
Green Berry Walker	Pvt.	Enlisted September 13, 1861. Wounded at Chancellorsville May 2-3, 1863 and admitted to 2nd Alabama Hospital. Recovered and present at Andersonville April, 1864. His widow Sarah M. Walker applied for pension in Lauderdale County, Mississippi in 1924.

Thomas William Webb	Pvt.	Born September 13, 1839 and enlisted September 13, 1861. Detailed as pioneer late 1863 and present at Andersonville in April, 1864. His grandson, who is still kicking, tells the story of how when he came back from the war his wife met him at the door with a gun and wouldn't let him in the house. He had always had a full beard but he was now clean shaven and she didn't recognize him! He died June 5, 1919 in Lafayette County, Mississippi.
Thaddeus Walker Webb, Jr.	Pvt.	Enlisted January 18, 1862. Died of unknown reasons June 17, 1862 and there was deceased claim filed by his father Thaddeus Webb on April 30, 1864. Buried in Hollywood Cemetery in Section O, Grave #111 on the same day.
F. G. Westbrook	Pvt.	Enlisted September 3, 1861. Wounded at Gettysburg with gunshot wound to thumb and admitted to #9 Hospital in Richmond on July 20 and then transferred to 2nd Alabama Hospital same day. Later transferred to Howards Grove on August 5. Returned to duty on September 9, 1863 and present at Andersonville.
J. W. Westbrook	Pvt.	Enlisted September 13, 1861 and according to local genealogist survived the war.

Letter from Captain James W. White, Company H, to Colonel O'Neal dated May 1, 1864

I respectfully ask for leave of absence for (30) thirty days to visit my family in Marion County, Alabama. It has been about 12 months since I have had a leave of absence and my family needs some attention. I desire to go and see to their welfare as our county is near the line and liable to fall into the hands of the enemy at any time. I pray this may meet with your approval.

Dear Aunt you will be informed of the death of your Dear son William (William H. Clark, co. H) which I have not time right now to give you the particulars of & I will give you a statement of his illness so that you can fix up papers and receive his money he has pay due him from Oct. 3rd up to July 8th/62 for 9 months & 5 days at $11.00 per month also $20.00 for his six months clothing making in all $125.82. He owes the government 31 cents leaves a balance due him $125.52c. Fix up the papers according to the above statement & send them forthwith & I will try to collect the money & send it to you. Nothing more but the remains of your nephew unto I am.

Brother James is dead. He died May the 21, 1862 at Chimbarazo Hospital, Richmond, VA. He was never well until he died. He got worse every day from the time he left Tuscumbia, Ala.

My body is absent from you this day and many miles from thee but my heart is with you day and night. Take good and special care of my loving and charming children. Raise them up in the path of duty and the commandments that children should do. Tell them I am standing in the defense of them and my darling and loving companion that is in a distant land from me this day. I can't rite nor more. May God protect you until we meet again. Hoping when this comes to hand it will find you well and doing well. I received your letter this evening which informs me of you afflictions. I was in a dread to hear from you for I had heard you had give out on a march and was left and I think you had better come home until your health gets better- - -. I am living by myself only as some of the children stays with me and that is a lonesome way of doing for me. I would write more but I have not time at the present and God protect us through life and save us in death. So nothing more at present only remains your affectionate wife until death.
