• Our extended family, descended from Duncan Ferguson is privileged to have an incredible couple of documents which cover the lives of five generations and now relate to a possible eight generations numbering well over a thousand individuals including spouses.
• Etta Fingland's original was published in 1951; and J. Norman and Malcolm S. Ferguson published a 425 page, hard bound book in 1980 (now listed on Amazon). It recounts a pioneer history and details 10 family lines. 

• Duncan Ferguson (crofter), his wife and family of ten emigrated from Argyllshire,  Scotland in 1830 to Yarmouth Township, Canada West. They were true pioneers in the finest North American tradition.

• This website exists to tell the family story in new media to transcribe a story which has already been published ; but which is ongoing through the lives of Duncan's family.
• The RootsWeb Website replaces our earlier site discontinued in November 2012.
