These two little girls are identified as Meta and Cora Schrader. I have no idea how the Schrader family connects to my ancestry other than that they are somehow tied to my Schumacher connections in Illinois. The original photograph was taken probably sometime in the 1870's or 1880's . The photographer is identified as W.D. Fay of Joliet, IL. I have another photograph which appears to be of the same two girls about five years older. The photographer identification in that one is C. Murr's photographic studio, Joliet, IL.

This person is completely unidentified. The original photograph is a tintype. Based on the background in the original, I think it was shot in the 1870's or 1880's. I'm pretty sure he's an ancestor of mine based on a strong resemblance to me.

These three children are completely unidentified. I was told the original was a tintype. My copy was made from a copy of it. I think the original was made in the 1860's. Their cheeks appear to have been painted.

This is another Schrader photograph. The boy on the right is Will Schrader, based on other photographs in which he is identified. The boy on the left shares a strong resemblance to one of the Schrader girls in the first image. I have no idea who the man in the middle is. The photographer for this is also W. D. Fay, Joliet, IL. I think it was shot in the 1870's. I have a few tin type photographs of Will Schrader with two women (Alvina Schrader and Margaret Schumacher - Margaret is the only sister of my great grandfather, Edward C. Schumacher). One clue is that according to the Illinois Statewide Marriage Index, Alvina Schrader married Charles Murr (probably the photographer of several of these photographs) in Will County on 2 Dec 1873.

Who is this woman? The photo was taken at C. Murr's Photographic Studio, 39 Jefferson Street, Joliet IL. Probably around 1870.

How about her? The photo was taken at Edgeworth's, Joliet, IL. Probably around 1865.

This woman's picture was taken by S.C. Hansen, Joliet, IL. Probably taken around 1865.

This is Elizabeth "Libby" Christina Campbell, sister of Susan R. Terpening. Her maiden name is Cory. Susan is my great-great grandmother. The photo was taken by Geo. W. Wise, #29 West Milwaukee, Janesville, Wisconsin, probably in the 1880's. In her father's probate record's Elizabeth started out as Mrs. Fish. I've learned that her first husband was Dr. Steven Newell Fish of DeKalb county, Illinois. They had a son, Eddie, who died about three years after his father. Her second husband was Will Campbell (They married around 1882 or 1883). She and Will were living in Redland, California in 1906 at the death of her sister, Susan. I'm still looking for date information on Libby and her family.
