Brother Elias TOBIAS Junr departed this life December the 26th 1849.

January the 1st Saturday 1850
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Received by letter James BRAZELTON and Katharine BRAZELTON. 2nd Br. Mason P. KEITH presented a charge against himself for having acted disorderly and after some time spent on the subject James FOWLER and Aaron SCOTT were appointed to labor with Brother KEITH and to get what necessary information they can on the subject and report at the next church meeting. 3rd The church agree to call Brother Thomas Hill to preach for her one fourth of his time the ensuing year. No other business appearing adjourned.

February the 1st Saturday 1850
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st The case of Brother Mason P. KEITH was taken up and Br. Keith making suitable acknowledgement is restored to the fellowship of the church. 2nd Received a communication by Matthew McCAIN from certain brethren at Frankfort Scott County for aid and council in the constitution of a church at that place on the 22nd . The church in answer there unto sends Thomas HILL, Wm. B. LEWIS and Brethren Aaron Scott, James BRAZELTON, and Wm. LEWIS. 3rd Received a request from Liberty Church, Scott County, for aid and counsel in the ordination of a deacon on the 4th Saturday also one for the same purpose on the � Saturday in March next from Kimberlains Creek, Scott County. Both of which this church agree to answer by sending to Liberty Elder Wm. B. LEWIS, Aaron SCOTT and Wm. LEWIS, and to Kimberlain�s Creek Elder Wm. B. LEWIS, Mason P. KEITH and Wm. LEWIS. On account of Idea BYFIELD, now Idea HOARD having united with another denomination is considered no longer a member of this church. No other business appearing adjourned.

April the first Saturday 1850
The church met and after praise and prayer the church authorizes Brother Wm. B. LEWIS with other brethren to receive members in this church any where in her bounds. The church authorizes the trustees to make such repair to the meetinghouse as is thought necessary and report to the church the necessary expense.

Sister Amy OWEN departed this life September the 29th 1850.

August the 5th Saturday 1850
The church met and after praise and prayer the clerk not being present A. HILL was chosen clerk for the day. The church letter to the association (not being present) was referred to our messengers for their approval or revision. All other references continued till next meeting. Elders Thomas HILL, Wm. B. LEWIS, and Brethren Aaron SCOTT, James FOWLER, and Samuel MALCOMB chosen as our messengers to the association.

1st received by letter Isaac P. HILL and Margaret HILL, his wife. 2nd dismissed by letter Wm EDWARDS and Zerilda EDWARDS his wife, Susan STARKS and James DEPUTY. 3rd received a request from the Baptist Church at New Frankfort for aid and council to meet with her on Friday the 22nd to enquire into the expediency of ordaining Brother Matthew McLAIN to the gospel ministry, whereupon Elders Thomas HILL and Wm. B. LEWIS and Brethren James FOWLER, Samuel MALCOMB, Sidney BUTLER and Aaron SCOTT are appointed to go. No other business appearing adjourned.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Dismissed by letter Brother Thomas TURNER and Sister Maria TURNER and Sister Ann LEWIS. 2nd Received a request from Liberty Church, Scott County, for aid and council to meet with them on the 26th for the purpose of enquiring into the expediency of ordaining Brother Wm. Y. MONROE to the gospel ministry whereupon Elders Thomas HILL, Wm. B. LEWIS, and Brethren Aron SCOTT, Samuel MALCOMB, James FOWLER, Sidney BUTTON, and Joshua DEPUTY are appointed to go. No other business appearing adjourned.

January the first Saturday 1851
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Brother Jacob EARL requested a letter of dismission through Br. MALCOMB and on account of the former conduct of Brother EARL not being satisfactory to the church, the clerk were appointed to write to brother EARL informing him of the cause why his request was not granted. 2nd A motion and second to call Brother Thomas HILL to preach for the church the ensuing year which was referred until next church meeting. 3rd dismissed by letter Brother Zalmom LEWIS. No other business appearing adjourned.

February the first Saturday 1851
The church meet and after praise and prayer 1st the reference with regard to calling Brother Thomas HILL to the pastoral care of the church for her the ensuing year was taken up and the following resolutions adopted:

January the 30th 1851
Whereas a meeting of the members of the Baptist Church at Coffee Creek was called for the purpose of deliberating as to the propriety or expediency of calling Brother Thomas HILL to preach for this church one half of the time for the term of one year, and also to take into consideration the amount to be paid, with the manner of collecting the same, when on motion of Brother TIBETTS, Brother James FOWLER was called to the chair and Uriah B. STRIBLING, Secretary. After prayer was offered up to Almighty God to aid us in our deliberations the following resolutions was passed: 1st resolved, on motion of Brother S. MALCOMB that we think it best to call Brother HILL to preach for us one half of his time for one year, subject however, to his choice and decision, 2nd resolved that it is the duty of every member to bear their proportion of the expense of this church according to their ability and that the deacons act as a committee of equalization to assess equalize and report to each member their amount as assessed, notwithstanding it shall be left discretionary with each member whether they pay the amount assessed or not. 3rd on motion it was agreed that we should pay Brother HILL Sixty dollars for one fourth of his time or one hundred for one half of his time for the term of one year.

On motion the deacons were exempt from bearing any part of the expenses of the church. Brother HILL declining to preach one half of the time is therefore called to preach one fourth of his time for the term of one year. 3rd Dismissed by letter Br. Daniel LEWIS, Sister Harriet LEWIS, his wife. Br. George ARBUCKLE, Sister Margaret ARBUCKLE, his wife, and Sister Polly LETT. Brother William S. CARPENTER departed this life February 1851.

March the 1st Saturday 1851
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st dismissed by letter Sister Eliza ann BYFIELD.

Sister Ann McRORA departed this life March the 29th 1851 in the 82nd year of her age.
Brother Peter ADAMS departed this life in the year of our Lord 1850.

April the first Saturday 1851
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st received by letter Silas STRIBLING and Sarah STRIBLING, his wife. 2nd Dismissed by letter William RIGDON and Elizabeth RIGDON, his wife. No other business appearing adjourned.

Sunday dismissed by letter Brother James BRAZELTON and Sister Katharine BRAZELTON, his wife.

At a meeting held at Neil�s Creek in March 1851
received by experience and baptism Daniel RECTOR and Jane RECTOR, his wife. Also Jefferson JUDKINS, relation.

June the first Saturday 1851
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Thomas HILL chosen moderator and Aaron SCOTT, clerk for the ensuing year. 2nd Andrew DEPUTY requested his name taken off the church book and upon motion and second the church appointed the deacons a committee to visit Brother DEPUTY and to labor to gain or reconcile him and report the result at next church meeting. No other business appearing adjourned.

July the first Saturday 1851
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st the case of Br. Andrew DEPUTY was taken up and he still wishing his name taken off the church book and it appearing that he had been guilty of using profane language he is excluded from the fellowship of the church. 2nd restored to the fellowship of the church Isabela FEAR. 3rd dismissed by letter Brother John TOBIAS and Mary TOBIAS his wife and Sister Isabela FEAR. No other business appearing adjourned.

August the first Saturday 1851
The church met and after praise and prayer, the clerk to prepare a letter to the association and present the same at next church meeting for inspection and that Elder Thomas HILL and Wm. B. LEWIS and Brethren Aron SCOTT, Samuel MALCOMB, James FOWLER, Sidney BUTLER, and Samuel TIBBETS are appointed to bear the same to the association. 2nd The case of Jacob EARL was taken up and after some time spent in deliberation is excluded from the fellowship of the church. No other business appearing adjourned to meet the last Saturday.

August the first Saturday 1851
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st received by letter Julia ROGERS. 2nd the letter to the association read and adopted. No other business appearing adjourned.

Sister Aug BARNES deceased September 1851.

October the 1st Saturday 1851
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Elizabeth DAY having been guilty of unchristian conduct is excluded from the fellowship of the church. 2nd dismissed by letter Dudly WALTON. No other business appearing adjourned.

November the 1st Saturday 1851
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Dismissed by letter Brother Seth C. HARRIS. 2nd received a communication from First Marion Church requesting this church to send members to aid and to sit in council in case of a difficulty existing between certain of their brethren whereupon Brethren James FOWLER, Samuel MALCOMB, Thomas COBB, John OSBURN, Allen HILL, James HAMMOND, and Aaron SCOTT were appointed to go. No other business appearing adjourned.

Received by experience for baptism Nancy HILL and restored to the fellowship of the church Wm. DREMING.

December the 1st Saturday 1851
The church met and after praise and prayer dismissed by letter Brother George COATNY. No other business appearing adjourned.

January the first Saturday 1852
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st agreed to call Brother Thomas HILL to preach for this church one fourth of his time the ensuing year. 2nd agreed that we call Brother Wm. B. LEWIS to preach for this church one fourth of his time the ensuing year. No other business appearing adjourned.

February the 1st Saturday 1852
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st received by letter Sister Jane KISER. No other business appearing adjourned.

March the 1st Saturday 1852
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st the request of Polly LETT with regard to her exclusion was granted and she is no longer a member of this church. Adjourned.

April the first Saturday 1852
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Dismissed by letter Brother William HILL. 2nd A motion and second to dispense with the rule we take no evidence from the world against no member of this church was taken up and referred till next church meeting.

Sister Lurany COX departed this life May 1852.

May the 1st Saturday 1852
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st The church agree to add to the rule where it says we take no testimony from the world against any member of this church except where committees are appointed, this giving committees power to call in such evidence as they think proper and advisable but not before the church when she sits as a body.

June the first Saturday 1852
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Thomas HILL chosen moderator and Aaron SCOTT clerk for the ensuing year. 2nd dismissed by letter Brother Jabez HAMMOND. 3rd the trustees appointed to take charge of the painting of the doors, windows, seats, pulpit of the meeting house and report to the church the necessary expenses. 4th Received by letter Cornelia NEWBERRY. No other business appearing adjourned.

Catharine P. GRAHAM (formerly Catharine COBB) departed this life June 1852.

July the 1st Saturday 1852
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st in consequence of Horatio WALKER uniting with another denomination is considered no longer a member with us. 2nd by a request from the Baptist Church at New Salem, Jackson County, for aid and council in the ordination of a deacon on the fourth Saturday of the present month in answer thereunto we agree to send Eldr. Wm. B. LEWIS, James FOWLER, and Aaron SCOTT. Adjourned.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st The clerk appointed to write the letter to the association and present the same at next church meeting for inspection. No other business appearing adjourned to meet on the last Saturday of this month. Sister Sarah Jane WILSON, formerly S. J. SCOTT, departed this life August 8th 1852 in the 24th year of her age. Brother Francis BARNES departed this life August 28th 1852 in the 69th year of his age.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st the clerk not being present Allen HILL was appointed clerk protem. 2nd received by letter Sister Martha Jane CARPENTER. 3rd the letter to the association written by Brother A. SCOTT presented and approved, and Brethren Eldr Thomas HILL, Eldr Wm. B. LEWIS, Aron SCOTT, James FOWLER, Samuel MALCOMB, Sidney BUTLER, and Samuel TIBBETS appointed to bear the same. No other business appearing adjourned.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st dismissed by letter Sister Cornelia NEWBERRY.

November the 1st Saturday 1852
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st the church received a communication from Bethany Church, Jefferson County, for aid and council in the ordination of Evan S. SCHURN which the church agreed to answer by sending Elders Thomas HILL, Wm. B. LEWIS, and Brethren Aaron SCOTT, James FOWLER and Samuel MALCOMB. No other business appearing adjourned.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Sister Jane KISER requested a letter of dismission which was granted. No other business appearing adjourned.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st the church agree to call a minister to preach for her for the year 1853 at her next church meeting. No other business appearing adjourned.

No other business appearing adjourned.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Thomas HILL chosen moderator and Aron SCOTT clerk for the ensuing year. 2nd Dismissed by letter Brother Carl TIBBETS and Sister Nancy TIBBETS, his wife. Thomas COBB and Priscilla, his wife, Sarah MURPHY and Jasper TUEL. 3rd John DAY and Saner ann DAY, his wife, and Hariet DAY, having removed out of the bounds of the church without calling for letters are considered no longer members with us. 4th Elizabeth LOWRY having united with the Methodist denomination is excluded from our fellowship.

July the first Saturday 1853
The church met and after praise and prayer Brother Jesse TAIT introduced a difficulty between himself and Brother Wm. DRENING which was taken up and Brethren Aaron SCOTT, James FOWLER, Samuel MALCOMB, Joshua DEPUTY, and Allen HILL were appointed a committee to see the brethren and try to settle the difficulty if possible and report the result at next church meeting. 2nd received a communication from Vernon Baptist Church for aid and council in the ordination of F. G. MARTIN on the 3rd Saturday of the present month, whereupon Allen HILL and Aaron SCOTT were appointed to go.

August Tuesday the 2nd 1853
Received by experience for baptism Maryann TOBIAS, Wm. GARDENER, Aceneth GARDENER, and Maria Jane HOLBROOKS and by letter Matilda ROWLAND and Sarah KAY.

Thursday the 4th
received by experience for baptism Ann CARPENTER and Mary BUNNY.

* NOTE: Cythy P. COBB married William J. GRAHAM on 14 Aug 1845 in Jefferson County, Indiana.
Autobiography of U. M. McGuire says, "William J. married Miss Cobb and began life in a log house on the hill just west of Paris Crossing. Here a son, Norman, was born and later his mother died." (See June 1852) A few years afterward William Married Sarah HOLBROOK, who became the mother of Elba and Ella, twin girls, and John E. GRAHAM.
