Family

David II Terrell and Sarah Johnson

Married 19-Jan-1749

Husband:   David II Terrell

Born: 11-Apr-1729
Died: 14-Feb-1805
Father: David Terrell
Mother: Agatha Chiles
Other Spouses: Sarah Goode, Martha Johnson

All of his known children were by first wife, Sarah. After his
first marriage, he lived in Louisa County, Virginia for awhile
and was Clerk of the Camp Creek Quaker Meeting at Green Springs.
He moved about 1781, after the death of Sarah, from Louisa to
Bedford County. He announced his attentions to marry his second
wife, Sarah, on May 10, 1782 and on May 15 they were married.
After the formation of Campbell County, Virginia in 1782 David
was by that division placed in that county. He was devout Quaker
and freed his slaves in 1782. His home was near Senaca Creek,
which flowed through his plantation. He owned considerable
amounts of land, not only in Campbell but some in other
counties. In 1760, he was granted 1,075 acres in Lunenburg
County. In his will he left his interest in 400 acres in Halifax
County to his brother, Chiles. I did not copy the following page
of Dicken's book which listed the remainder of his children.
