Comments: Amelia was born and raised in South Dakota, the first generation born to immigrant Germans from Russia. Her first language was German but was required to learn and use only English in school. She came to Franklin, California in her teens and met Theadore Ehresman whom she married. They had 6 children. After he died she raised them on her own. She later met and married Lester Lambert and had another daughter Ruth. In her later years she was a very caring grandmother and great grandmother. She died 4 Apr 2005 after a long struggle with Alzheimers disease and was buried in Franklin CA.
