She was born 1825 in North Carolina.Notes for W ILLIAM C. FREELAND: Came to the conclusion that William and Sally were Levi's parents from the 1850 IN census. Checked all FREELAND's in 1850 IN census. This is the only one that list a son age1 and names begins with L(can't read the rest) also the states in which they were born match Levi's other census reports. There is a possibility that Levi's parents were W.A. and Sarah Freeland from
Knox Co, IN. There is an Alexander L age 5/12 listed. But the states W.A. and
Sarah were born in don't match. 1910 census OZARK TWP, TEXAS, Missouri cannot read Bartholomew County, Indiana Index to Death Records A-Z 1882-1920 This is off message board at Rootsweb. Possibly Williams brother: Just happened to spend a few minutes in the Decatur County Public Library this morning and came across Levi Freeland in the 1860 Census, page 964 Sand Creek Township. It shows he's living with Elizabeth (Stribling) Freeland he's listed as 38 and a farmer, from Ohio. She's listed as 39 from Indiana. Marriage records indicate they were married on Sept 5, 1842.
