JOHN MARSH and FAMILY


John Marsh was born 1846 Sandgate Kent England. He was the second son of John and Mary Ann Marsh. His father was a fishmonger. John became a solicitor and was in business in Ventnor, Isle of Wight from 1880 or before. John married Hannah. Hannah was born in Reford Nottinghamshire. The eldest child in this photo is Margaret A Marsh born 1880 Ventnor. The names of the other children and Hannah's last name are not known. How did John, the son of a fishmonger, become a solicitor?
