Some of the information listed here was found at Family Search and apparently submitted there in 1986. In 2001, I was contacted by a distant cousin who provided me with additional information on this family after she accessed my original website at geocities through an English Genealogy Site. Special thanks to Jill Cole, a distant cousin, for information included in the Richard Medhurst and William Honey Generation Reports. Jill is descended from John Abnett, one of the sons of Thomas Abnett and Elizabeth Strobridge.

Recently, a cousin from England, Barry Watts, began to research our family and he has provided me with additional information and clarification on some of the family history, again, with the help of my Uncle Frank H. Jessup.... a great deal of new information has been sent by Ken Watkins regarding some of the USA Abnetts.

Even more recently, I have begun to receive emails from further descendants of this family and have updated the information and provided their names where appropriate. The Sybourn Middle name indicates a family connection of some sort, most likely Eliza and Benjamin were cousins
