War
Memorials in the
St. Austin's Church War Memorial
Wentworth Terrace
The
following memorial was extremely hard to read as it had been inscribed with
lead letters,
90% of which had been removed (stolen ?)
In some cases the letter had to be guessed by judging the position of the holes
that had been
drilled in the stone to mount the letters.
My apologies to anyone who I have wrongly named.
IN
GRATEFUL MEMORY OF
THE MEN OF
ST AUSTIN'S CONGREGATION
WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES
IN THE GREAT WAR
1914 - 1919
