The Will of Martha Talbot Featherston
March 28, 1785 - October 1, 1837

Daughter of Isham and Elizabeth Davis Talbot, Sr. - Granddaughter of Matthew (I) Talbot - Wife of William Featherston

I, Martha A. Featherston, being of sound mind and disposing memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament. 

1st  I bequeath to my beloved sister, Priscilla Talbot, for and during her natural life fifteen shares of stock with the Bank of Kentucky left me by the last will and testament of my brother, Isham Talbot, and at her death to be equally divided between the children of my late Brother, Eliza G. Dudley, Juliet M. Samuel, and William G. Talbot.

2nd  I devise and bequeath to my sister, Priscilla, her heirs and assigns, all other property of which I am possessed whether real, personal, or mixed.

3rd  I desire that Ambrose W. Dudley, Churchill Samuel, and William G. Talbot be the Executors of this my last will and testament and having full confidence in their honesty, capacity, and integrity request that the County Court shall not demand security of them.

To Which, I have this day set my hand and affixed my seal this 1st day of October 1837.

A paper purporting to be the last will and testament of Martha A. Featherston was partly proven by the oath of Silas Payne, a subscribing witness thereto.

The writings purporting to be the last will and testament of Martha A. Featherston was fully proven by the oath of Leander J. Sharp, another subscribing witness thereto to be the last will and testament of said Martha A. Featherston, whereupon it is ordered to be recorded as such.  (which was done accordingly)
