Bill and Bettie (Sheppard Barnes) Gaddis left Tishomingo, Johnston County, Okla. in 1928. They moved to Grand Prairie, Texas where Bill worked various jobs until they purchased a 32-acre farm in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas in 1938. This is the first cow they purchased at the farm.
