Betty Lee Sheppard Barnes Gaddis, wife of William "Bill" Gaddis. This picture was taken Sept. 9, 1968 at her back door. William Gaddis became very ill, they eventually sold the land and had their new home built in 1962; William Gaddis died in 1964. Their granddaughter, Jo Lyon Autrey, now lives in the home. It is located on the old land which was previously the potato field. Betty Gaddis died in 1979, one week after Jo Lyon married Joe Elbert Autrey. Jo is the daughter of Betty's daughter, Julia Marie Gaddis Lyon. This land and adjoining land remains in the family since 1938 when Bill and Betty purchased the original 35 acres in Dallas, Texas.
