Rice Gaddis, b. 26 Aug 1789, Fayette Co, PA; d. 11 Feb 1853, Clinton Co, OH; bur. Gaddis Cemetery, near Wilmington, OH.  Rice was son of Col. Thomas Gaddis and Hannah Rice (Group 3) and migrated with them to Clinton Co, OH around 1814.  He was an early newspaper publisher in Ohio, editor of the "True American".  He married Sarah Andrews Pendry, 2 Apr 1840, Clinton Co, OH, and had one son, Andrew Rice Gaddis, b. 23 May 1841, d. 22 Apr 1928, both Clinton Co, OH.  Andrew married Amanda Smith on 9 Oct 1861 in Clinton Co, OH and had 9 daughters and 1 son.
