St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aleman has scheduled the observance of its 110th anniversary with a series of activities Sunday, Sept. 22. The festivities will be held on and around the church grounds eight miles southeast of Hamilton off FM 932 on 3340.

Bible classes will meet at 9:30 a.m. The morning anniversary worship featuring the resident pastor, Rev. Francis Mennenga, will begin at 10:30 a.m. with guest organist Kraig Kunkel at the console. A noon barbecue will be served at St. Paul's Community Center following the morning service.

Anniversary displays and video presentation will be available in th eparish hall for guest inspection following the meal. A hymm-sing will begin at 2 p.m., preceding the afternoon Celebration of Praise at 3 p.m. The guest speaker of the afternoon will be Rev. Raymond Reich, a former pastor of St. Paul. Refreshments will be served in the parish hall following the service.

Among the fellowship opportunities for reminiscing will be the memories of a group of 14 families, dedicated to the Christian faith, with the courage to call a pastor and establish a congregation, not only to serve their needs but to be shared for spiritual service with the surrounding areas. As a result, Pleasant Point, as Aleman was previously called, and the Krueger School in the area, plus a two-room parsonage, served as the worship center and base of operations until an unpainted structure was erected in 1900.

The present sanctuary, dedicated in 1916, continues to serve the 130 member congregation in recently air-conditioned comfort. The congregation invites the entire community to join in all of the events planned
