CTC SCHOLARSHIP SET UP
IN MEMORY OF ALEXANDER
The Central Texas College Foundation will
host a ceremony at 4:30 p.m. this Friday, June 9, at Alexander
Moulding Mill to establish an endowed scholarship in the name od John
Edward "J. E." Alexander.
The scholarship was initiated by family
and friends to honor the memory of Alexander by helping students
achieve their educational goals.
Sid Wieser, chair of the CTC Foundation
board of directors, will present an art-carved crystal plaque to Mrs.
Ann Alexander and special message will be given by friends of J. E.
Alexander.
Alexander was a longtime resident of
Hamilton and founded the Alexander Moulding Mill. He was a veteran of
World War ll and served in the Sea-Bees as a Carpenter's Mate First
Class. He also spent military time in New Guinea and the Philippines.
He died Sept. 16, 1974.
