EMILY ELVIRA (BEEMAN) BAKER

Across the top are the pictures of  William Thatcher Baker, his wife--Emily Elvira (Beeman) Baker and one of their sons, James Artemas Baker. 

William Thatcher and Emily Elvira had 12 children before William Thatcher died August 12, 1884.  William Thatcher had move his family to Plum Creek in Hamilton County in 1877 where he established a mill, a store, a gin, and in 1882 a post office which he named Ohio for his native state.

On 12 September, 1893, Emily Elvira (Beeman) Baker married David Thomas Holmes--Hamilton County Marriage Record Bk. 1, p. 61.

The two oldest sons were James Artemas Baker and Francis Houston Baker.  The seventh child in the family was Charles Curtis Baker, who would later become the first resident dentist in Hamilton County, TX.
