GEORGE N. GENTRY
He said that Gentry also would take credit for what he did too till he
split off from him. That Gentry did not run for another term as sheriff or
resigned, but that he controlled the court, and had Sam Terry put in as
sheriff. That Gentry controlled everything in those days.
[George F. Gentry was sheriff from
1878-1884; and was vice sheriff while S. D. Terry was sheriff from
1884-1886.]
