Hamp McCain was a good man. He was kin to the widow Mrs. McCain. (Mrs. McCain sewed for people, was daughter to Mr. Williams Moore, early day sheep rancher, brother Mr. Ed. Moore, the banker. Had two girls I started to school with, and an older one, Miss Med, who was a brisk and strict school teacher.)
