HAMILTON MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
With an elevation of 1320 feet the Hamilton Municipal
Airport is two miles south of Hamilton and west of US 281.
A 5,000-foot runway was added in 1996 at a cost of $2,901,000. The
Federal Aviation Administration paid 90%, Texas Department of
Highways and Transportation paid 5%, and the City of Hamilton paid
the remining 5% of the cost of the new runway. Entrance to
the airport was moved to the north side from CR 503.
