1911 PROCEEDINGS Moderator J. N. Davis called the meeting to order.
The introductory sermon was preached by Dr. W. B. Everitt. Dr.
Wm. Agee was the elected clerk, however, Mike A. Strain was appointed
clerk pro tem. John T. Adams and J. S. Deaton were appointed to
draft the following communication to express love and sympathy to Bro.

J. W. McKenzie had been the treasurer of the
association for many A petitionary letter was received from the Freeman church and Bro. McAnelly and wife were seated as messengers on August 16, and on the following day a petitionary letter was received from Pilgrims Rest church with D. F. Harbor, W. A. Norris, Alma Hale, Mirta Harbor being seated as messengers. Eighteen churches in the association had Sunday Schools with 118 teachers, 1080 people enrolled, and with an average attendance of 651. G. W. Eudaly, E. E. Curry, and Mike A. Strain were appointed to a an advisory committee to promote effective Sunday Schools. After Miss George of Baylor Female College in Belton
appealed for Following the report on ministerial education by John P. Hardesty these pledges were made to assist ministerial students in Simmons College: Pledges of $2.50--Agee church, Center Valley church, Bethlehem church, Leon church, Energy church, and Evergreen church. Carlton church pledged $5.00, while the Indian Gap church, Hamilton church, and Hico church pledged $10.00. A collection of $3.35 was also received. These pledges were made to Southwestern Theological Seminary and Howard college: $10:00--Agee church; $50.00--Hico church; $25.00--Hamilton church, Indian Gap Church, Carlton Church (all to Seminary); $5.00--Olin church; $2.50--Prof. D. D. Kempner; and a cash collection of $1.35. Pledges of support for Buckners Orphans Home were
made by: $5.00--Rev. J. L. Stuckey (for his children), Evergreen
