LANHAM SCHOOL, NO. 31
In 1911 Lanham School, No. 31, was classified as
a high school with 8 grades.
In 1924-25 Ervin Jones and Miss
Nora Lucky were the teachers in the Lanham School and N. S.
Sellers, C. M. Broyles, and E. C. Leonard were on the
school board.
In 1936 Lanham School was a three-room frame
structure. Two of the rooms were available for community assemblies. Two
teachers, Elvy G. Sargent, principal; and Mrs. Ed Craig were
employed to teach nine grades for the eight-month school term. Nancy
Emily (Bellah) Roberts taught at Lanham for six years.
