JAMES FRANCIS HILL

J. F. Hill was born in northern Alabama in 1866. He came to Bell County with his parents when but a small boy. J. F. Hill and family moved to Shive in 1902 and to Hamilton in 1907 where he has resided ever since. He was educated in the public schools and then attended Baylor University and Hills Business College in Waco.

Mr. Hill has been in the County Clerks office for many years. He was District Clerk from 1912 to 1918 and has been Deputy County Clerk since 1919.

Mr. Hill was married to Laura Goode of Bell County in 1892. They have two children, Mamie, who now lies in Abilene and Emmett who lives in Hamilton.
