Oil Mill, with bonded warehouse for wool and mohair; Largest buyers in
this section of the state for these products. Jim H. McFarlin is manager.
-----
One of the newer businesses of this city and one which
means much to the producers of Wool and Mohair is the Henry Stallings
Company, which opened a bonded warehouse here early this year. It is under
the efficient management of Jim H. McFarlin, who is competent, courteous,
and thoroughly familiar with the business.
This company buys wool, mohair, and pays the highest
market prices at all times. They also store wool and mohair for those who
desire to hold their products and issue a bonded receipt for same, on
which money may be obtained. They handle the Co-op account in Hamilton
county.
The Henry Stallings Company has warehouses in Brownwood,
Hamilton, Lometa and Goldthwaite, being probably the largest buyers of
wool and mohair in this section. By buying large quantities they can
command the very best price the marked affords, and the advantage is
passed on to the customer.
The establishment of this bonded warehouse in Hamilton
is proving of great benefit to the growers in the county. When they do not
care to sell at the prevailing market price, they can store their products
and sell in concentrated lots, commanding a better price. It is no longer
necessary to take your wool and mohair out of Hamilton county as this
market is as good as the best.
Mr. McFarlin has made many friends since he came to
Hamilton and is interested in the development and welfare of his new home
town. We urge readers of the Historical and Trade Expansion Edition of the
News to call on The Henry Stallings Company and meet their congenial
manager.
