OAK GROVE BAPTIST CHURCH

1878--1884

 

Oak Grove Baptist Church near McGirk (seventeen miles southwest of Hamilton) was admitted to the Hamilton County Baptist Association on 9 September, 1878. It was organized in 1878 by D. W. White Oak Grove Baptist church was admitted to the Comanche Baptist Association on 3 September, 1880. The assumption is made that Oak Grove Baptist Church met in the Oak Grove SchoolIts history is documented until 1884 in HCBA minutes.
