ONDEE SCHOOL was  located southeast of Olin at a stagecoach stop on the old Hamilton-Hico Road on the north side of the Leon River in the 1890's and early 1900's.  Minnie Lois (Shipman) Grant attended school at  Ondee when Bob Ike Richardson was the teacher.  Minnie graduated for Hamilton High School in 1913.  Mr. Richardson frequently had students stand in the corner for punishment.  Minnie told Mr. Richardson that if he made her stand in the corner, she would tell her dad, Anderson Lafayette "Fayette" Shipman, who was on the Ondee School Board.
