ROCK HOUSE BAPTIST CHURCH

Rock House Baptist Church was organized before August, 1901, and was admitted to Hamilton County Baptist Association on 16 August, 1901, and existed until about 1908. Rock House Baptist Church was reorganized on 6 November, 1938, and  admitted again to Hamilton County Baptist Association on 22 August, 1939.  This church was dissolved  about 1965.

Rev. T. Lynn Stewart, Rev. John Dempsey West, Rev. John S. Deaton, and Rev. Samuel Marshall "Sam" Drake met with a group of residents of the Rock House community on Sunday afternoon, 6 Nov., 1938, to re-organize the church.  Charter members were Mr. and Mrs. Randell Simpson, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Cozby, Mr. and Mrs.  S. A. Joiner, Mr. Charlie Miles, Mrs. George Gray, Mrs. Charlie Casey, Mrs. C. H. Miles, and J. T. Miles.   Sam Drake was called as the pastor to preach on the first Sunday of each month.
