WARD CEMETERY
WARD CEMETERY
is northeast of Pecan Wells between
CR 536 and the Lampasas
River.
From Evant, Exit US 281 and travel West
on TX 84 toward Goldthwaite until you find FM 1047 in Mills County, but it
quickly curves into Hamilton County. In McGirk turn left to County
Road 536. CR 536 will be a dirt road and will have some 90 degree
turns--but the distance is not far. You will pass the Eastview-Newton
Cemetery before crossing the Lampasas River. After crossing the
Lampasas River turn and go through a wire gate just before you get
to the Lampasas River. The cemetery is about a mile up the road on a
hill and is enclosed in a wire fence.
