WARD SCHOOL was an early school in
Hamilton County in the 1870's. Capt. Gaither J. Ball taught in this
school after he moved to Hamilton County after 1875. Capt. Ball walked
four miles each morning and each evening from his home on Partridge Creek to
this school.
