HALL HUNG, AS IS SUPPOSED BY SAM GHOLSON
& BILL MORRIS
This fellow Hall came in
here, seems like he was
catching deserters, he had gotten Sam and had taken him to
Lampasas, and there was lots of talk about hanging Sam and this
fellow Hall was taking lots of stock in it. Any how Sam went
to the army and he was home after that on a furlough
and came through Williamson
County or some of them counties down there where
Hall lived and worked as a black smith and to get even with him for the
Lampasas trouble took Hall out and hung him. They
hung him up first but did not get him high enough and he wore out his boot
heels kicking, but they got him alright.
