SAM - FRANK GHOLSON START TO MEXICO
Sam as I have said did not want to go to the army and a
bunch of them started to Mexico. They got down about Eagle Pass and the
Confederates killed part of Sam’s squad. I knew one fellow that was with
him and when I asked Sam about him he did not want to tell me anything and
I have always been sure that he was killed at Eagle Pass, anyway I have
never seen or heard of him since
