Arrived in Phildelphia, Pa Sept. 15, 1749 on the Phoenix
Immediately settled in the St. Michael's area
Died 1804-Buried here with his wife Anna Maria Kauffmann.
Jacob was a Clerk, Soldier, Musician, Farmer and Miller.
Charted Member if St. Michael's Lutheran Church
Sons- Valentine, George, Joseph, Jacob, Philip and Adam
All servied in the Continenal Army in the Revolutionary War.

Was one of the founders and first Elder of St. Michael's Church
and resided in this vicinity the remainder of his life
He had five sons and two daughters
Erected by The Seaman Family Association 1913

"THIS MEMORIAL MARKS THE SITE OF THE FIRST HOMESTEAD OF JACOB MUELLER, PIONEER ANCESTOR, WHO WITH WIFE CHARLOTTE, AND TWO CHILDREN, LANDED AT PHILADELPHIA FROM THE SHIP JOHNSON, SEPTEMBER 1732. THEY WERE FROM THE PALATINE OF THE RHINE, GERMANY.

MULLER WAS A LEATHER TANNER AND HERE HE BUILT A TANNERY WHICH PRODUCED LEATHER AND TURN OUT SHOES AND HARNESS FOR A CENTURY AND A HALF."
